National Highway Traffic Safety Administration: Car Seats and Booster Seats

Fayetteville Fire and EMS have been actively involved in Child Passenger Safety since 2006. We have 7 certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians*. We are committed to keeping children safe and hold monthly fitting service to make your scheduling easier. During these events, our technicians educate and have hands-on assistance with the proper use of child restraint systems and seat belts to parents and care-givers.

Technicians attend a thirty-two-hour course, National Child Passenger Safety Certification by Safe Kids, to obtain their initial certification and must renew it every two years which includes obtaining six hours of Continuing Education as well as having an instructor verify their competence.
