American Safety Health Institute (ASHI) Courses
Courses are conducted by our four instructors under Onondaga County and ASHI which is the American Safety Health Institute. These nationally accepted certification courses in CPR, AED techniques, first aid, emergency oxygen administration, and blood-borne pathogens, are provided in three effective ways: online, on-site, and blended. Our updated, comprehensive emergency response and safety training courses follow the most up-to-date guidelines for CPR/AED and first aid training certification. Why Learn Hands-Only CPR?
Cardiac arrest – an electrical malfunction in the heart that causes an irregular heartbeat (arrhythmia) and disrupts the flow of blood to the brain, lungs, and other organs – is a leading cause of death. Each year, more than 350,000 EMS-assessed out-of-hospital cardiac arrests occur in the United States.

- Explain the concepts of the Chain of Survival
- Recognize when someone needs CPR
- Perform high-quality CPR for an adult
- Describe how to perform CPR with help from others
- Give effective breaths using mouth-to-mouth or a mask for all age groups
- Demonstrate how to use an AED on an adult

- Demonstrate how to use an AED on a child*
- Perform high-quality CPR for an infant*
- Describe when and how to help a choking adult or child
- Demonstrate how to help a choking infant*
